J. Finch on 11/16/2008	I'm sure Eddie will be unveiling another guitar endorsement with a new company soon. He'll put his name on anything. The beauty is that, he is so good it really doesn't matter what he plays. lol.

Eddie probably hates him so much for working for Mike and Sammy now and I am sure Dugan's departure was acrimonious. That is why he sold it, to really piss off Eddie. You know EVH hates people making money off of him more than anything. This sale was just a FU to EVH I guarantee.
Jon Fine on 11/14/2008	I was at NAMM the year Peavey introduced the EVH Wolfgang. I wanted to check out one of their amps, and the rep handed me a Wolfgang. "Hey," I said. "That's cool that you're putting Eddie's strap hooks on these." "We're not," said the rep. "That's Eddie's guitar--don't tell him we let you play it." Well, I don't know Eddie, so he'll never know. (Well, he may now!) Anyway, if by some chance Eddie were to invite me onstage to play his guitar (fat chance!), I'd have to turn him down--I couldn't play on his setup! The strings were too light for me, action too high, and the vibrato bar was so loose that it moved a good inch before the bridge moved! Eddie plays great stuff with that setup, but I sure couldn't use it! And $45 grand for that guitar? No, thanks...

Carmicheal on 11/13/2008	I agree. The lack of wear was a red flag. If you see pics of the original Frankenstein it's all beat to hell. My guess would be he rarely, if hardly ever played this one. $45,000? Jeez, people have money to just piss away, lmao!

Compurocker on 11/13/2008	The fact that it was stripped and was repainted etc. makes it a lot less valuable in my opinion. Also the letter said it was "ONE" of his main stage Guitars for one tour. That accounts for the lack of Neck and fret wear. We all know every Guitar plays differently so he probably had several Kramer Guitars exactly like this and one of them I'm sure played and sounded better to Eddie than the others which is why he did not give that one away! Makes sense, right?
