I'm not sure I'd want a bunch of riff raff in there when such big items are being auctioned off. Serious buyers only, which is apparently what they were going for, while still allowing the public the get in if they really wanted to. A room full of non-serious gawkers is a recipe for disasters. Those guitars are very expensive.

I attend the Arlington show every year. They were charging $15 to attend the auction. This was in addition to the $15 you paid to go to the guitar show. I wanted to attend the auction even though I doubt if I could have afforded any of the guitars being auctioned. I decided not to go because I didn't want to pay $15 to just watch an auction. I bet if they hadn't charged admission they would have had a MUCH higher attendance - and probably would have made a LOT more money with the auction items.
