There was never ever any competition in PUNK rock! This is a ridiculous insult to the musicians dead & alive who are in this article. Please don't taint the memory of this music form it still hates everything this magazine stands for!!!

Well, they got Quine in there--he was one hell of a player...and Ricky Wilson is seriously underrated, even now. So, respect where it's due, though it'd be nice to see names like Jody Harris mentioned more...

If it weren't for Television and Lou Reed, this list would be a complete joke. Okay, Johnny Thunders and Lenny Kaye could make it, but where are Brian James and Captain Sensible from the Damned? Maybe James Williamson from Iggy and the Stooges. The Clash were a total joke with nothing near a "Guitar God" to offer. Leave it to Gibson to scratch the surface and call it definitive.
